'Allo. Welcome to New Feathers and all that. Still, Sokka I know you're busy with engagement stuff, I'm sure. So the others who work at the Smithy, can I get some help melting things down? It's a very big order.

And if anyone there has familiarity with machine gun rounds, that'd be good too.

About this Draft that happens. No one gets taken solo, right? Just at the same time as the others go off? How long can one of their stupid damn experiments go on anyway?

[A quiet mumble finishing it all up.] Thank you. [Though just as she cuts off there's some growling and grumbling about killing the Malnosso. Anyone looking for her might find her back from scanning the forest and mountains for a change and inside the bar. Actually drinking more than just her standard one or two careful sips of wine. Harder stuff at that.]

[He shrugs, conveying an attitude that's relaxed but still serious. This is a friendly kind of interrogation.]

If you and Raph are serious about each other, and I think you are, then I want to get to know you better.

[Unfortunately, whether Don realizes it or not, that sends her completely on her guard. Her body tenses up every so slightly, though her face remains completely calm with a vague little smile. Still, while one hand is near her face thoughtfully, the other inches towards her holsters in a very careful way. This is the sort of speech she receives that only means danger in her world.]

Of course. I'd expect nothing less from well-meaning brothers, mm? Likewise, I'd like to know more about Donatello, than just what I pick up from Raphael. [Her voice is practically purring and seductive, the smile hasn't dropped an inch, yet still, her entire body language conveys a panther tensed in a tree branch about to pounce.] I know you're good with electronics, computers, and gadgetry, yes?

[A voice like that may have interesting effects on Raph, but Don is not so easily distracted by such things. He sees that movement and he does not like it.]

Are you going to shoot me, Fujiko?

[The hand stills instantly, and the smile fades completely as she shakes her head.]

I assure you, that hadn't even crossed my mind.

I can't help noticing you reached for your gun.

[He understands warrior reflexes, and he believes you if you say you hadn't intended to shoot him. But he still wants to know what triggered the unconscious movement.]

[There's a brief pause on what to say, and how to say it.]

I'm on edge. [Surprisingly honest.]

[His shoulders slump.]

Who isn't?

[Still, it's a little odd that a simple, vague question about yourself, from someone who ought to be a friend, was enough to push you over that edge.]

[Slumps in her seat a little and tries to find something less dangerous to fidget with before giving up and holding onto the gun practically like a security blanket.] Between him missing and just... I've never exactly had to do much of a whole "Meet the family" thing. [Given that Lupin's father is a scary bastard and his close friends are already overprotective of him and hate Fujiko, even if she knew Lupin first and never in an assassination target like the other two. So meeting Don really had her trying hard and floundering on how. At least with Mikey it was easy. With Mikey she actually relaxed.]

How are things with Robert?

[See, Raph, this "meet the family" thing isn't so easy. Under better circumstances Don might feel a little swell of vengeful validation.]

Not bad. The experiment was...

[Well. He doesn't entirely remember what the experiment was.]

[Fujiko is glad he doesn't remember the experiment because she's trying to block out the being married to Raph's DAD thing. It's just a whole Lupin the 2nd can of worms again. But yes, meeting the family is rough. Fujiko's already offered to run interference with Raph and give Robert a chance to breath if necessary.]

Yeaah... well... All's well that ends well. [Of course, in her experience, things NEVER really end well, but whatever. She will pretend~]

[In Don's experience, things never really end.]

[He gestures to his cinnamon roll. Want a piece?]

[Waves a hand, she'll pass.]

Ahh... I'm not really sure what to say.

[That's okay; he'll happily eat it himself.]

If there's anything on your mind... [- that doesn't make you twitchy to talk about, that is.]

[Shrugs. She's not even going to bother pretending to be brainless or carefree.]

I wish I could say knowing that Raph's been through tougher and survived would make it better, but somehow I don't think I'll stop worrying either way.

[Don mentally awards Fujiko a number of points for this thought.]

Heh. I guess he causes a lot of accidental worry then?

[Soft smile.]

Sometimes I think he does it on purpose.

Somehow, coming for Raph, that wouldn't surprise me.

[He sobers again.]

I just wish they'd send him back.

[Clenches fist.] Me too.

I'll pepper them with bullets if they hurt him.

[Shooting things. Not really Don's preferred solution to a problem.]

Let's... keep that as a possibility.

Tch... inevitably if I have a say in it. [Huggles a Browning pistol that she seemed to pull out of nowhere -- and not her holsters which still carry the twin PPKs.]
